Anything But Love Is Transitory: The Search for Spiritual and Passionate Love

Although I have many couple illustrations for this series, I select 4 that, in my opinion, convey the deep love that I describe below.

Anything But Love Is Transitory

This phrase, which I once heard in the epic Turkish novel The Sultan (or Muhteşem Yüzyıl), has been etched deep into my being. At first glance, people might describe me as cold or distant, but the reality is that my soul harbors a fervent belief in love in its purest, deepest, and most passionate form.

I'm not talking about a simple connection. I'm referring to that love that drives you crazy, fills you with adventure, with pleasure, and fuses you with another to literally become one. It's the connection that transcends the physical and is anchored in the spiritual.

The Inspiration Behind the Collection

I'm not talking about a simple connection. I'm referring to that love that drives you crazy, fills you with adventure, with pleasure, and fuses you with another to literally become one. It's the connection that transcends the physical and is anchored in the spiritual.

It was from this powerful conviction that my most recent series of illustrations was born, which I titled precisely "Everything That Is Not Love Is Transitory." Each illustration in this series is an attempt to capture the essence of that unbreakable, spiritual love. For me, it's a love that transcends any superficiality or fleeting circumstance.

The Lessons of the Soul and Karma

And this is where the second part of the phrase takes on a brutally honest meaning: what isn't love ends.

In our lives, we experience a series of encounters and relationships that, although intense, are destined to end. These connections are, in reality, lessons from the soul or manifestations of karma. They come into our lives to shake us up, to push us out of our comfort zone and force us to grow. They are necessary encounters, but transitory. They leave once the lesson has been learned and the karmic debt has been settled.

These relationships are not failures; they are catalysts. They teach us what that deep, eternal love is not, preparing us to receive it when it truly arrives.

My challenge as an Artist

My goal with these illustrations is to invite you to reflect on this duality:

1. Love is the immovable pillar of our existence.

2. There are necessary encounters that prepare us for Love.

I hope this series conveys the same intensity and passion with which it was created. Leave me a comment and tell me what this phrase means to you.
